Spreading red, hot skin infection needs a doctor (antibiotics) — alongside: cooling sandal/durva paste, neem inside and out, no curd or hot-spicy food.
Cooling pastes on the spreading redness — durva grass or sandalwood with rice-water; inside, light bitter food (karela, neem leaves). Charaka treats visarpa with cooling and blood-purifying line.
Traditional
नीम · Neem
4-5 neem leaves on empty stomach; neem-water wash of the area.
Traditional
करेला · Bitter gourd
30 ml bitter gourd juice on an empty stomach, and the pulp left over spread cool over the patch — tikta rasa cools the blood in visarpa inside and out. The spreading red patch is still a bacterial infection: antibiotics the same day.
