Fracture (Bhagna) — described by Sushruta. X-ray and plaster first, then the diet that knits bone.
Food Remedies
Main remedy
X-ray and plaster/splint by a doctor first — always. Then Sushruta's bhagna line: complete rest of the part, milk-ghee-til diet, no load till union; hadjod (asthisamharaka) under vaidya guidance speeds knitting.
Milk with a pinch of turmeric and 2-3 soaked almonds daily — calcium-protein for the knitting bone. Sushruta's bhagna diet: milk, ghee, meat-soup/moong-soup.
Traditional
तिल · Sesame
Til (sesame) — the classical bone food: 1 tsp daily, or til-gur in winter.
Traditional
घी · Cow Ghee
1 tsp ghee in warm milk twice a day — the fat a knitting bone needs to absorb calcium and vitamin D. The cast and the follow-up X-ray do the actual joining.
