Poor vision in dim light — a vitamin-A deficiency sign.
Food Remedies
Main remedy
Mango is richest in vitamin A of all fruits — an adult needs ~5000 IU daily, found in just 100g of mango. Carrots and spinach also provide abundant vitamin A for eye health. Sucking ripe mango helps night blindness and prevents dry, red, itchy eyes (Xerophthalmia).
Ripe mango eaten fresh, one at a time and not with milk; the tender leaves may be boiled and the water used.
